System Overview
The Sensa TSC is an Ethernet based lighting controller with the additional benefit of
incorporating a touch screen interface with fully customisable graphics to suit any installation.
The flexibility of using a controller with an inbuilt touch screen means we give the system user
full ability to change their surroundings at the touch of a button.
The TSC could be located within a conference room, facilities office or even a riser cupboard
but still take control of lighting throughout the entire building. Within a building wide control
system the TSC would be acting as the ‚brain‘ for the installation regardless of its location or
the graphics displayed on the screen itself. Sensa scene plates such as the BPS SP can be
used alongside the TSC to allow for localised control.
An installation consisting of 1 TSC gives the ability to control and monitor 16 DALI networks
(1024 DALI devices) on top of this each TSC within an installation also allows for the control
of 1 universe of DMX (512 channels) however each subsequent TSC within an installation
adds a further universe of DMX (that’s an additional 512 channels of DMX per TSC).
If more than 16 DALI networks need to be controlled within a building or if multiple DMX
universes are required a larger capacity Sensa server can be added to the system to allow
for this. This Ethernet based approach to connecting control devices and controlling lighting
can be scaled to any size allowing for the control of an unlimited number of DALI and DMX
devices.

System Features
•PoE (power over Ethernet) devices.
•Unlimited number of DALI and DMX
control channels.
•All controllers and interfaces can
be placed on an existing corporate
network or a dedicated lighting or
building controls network. DALI and
DMX data can be routed to any
location within an installation.
•Built in heat and light sensors within the
TSC can be used to adjust lighting levels
or even to control the heating and air
conditioning within a building.
•Integration with building management
systems and/or audio visual systems
is done so directly from the TSC using
Ethernet removing the need to purchase
expensive interface modules as other
lighting control systems may require.
•Low cost cabling between control
devices such as Cat5.e.
•Commissioning of DALI and DMX
lighting can be done by connecting
a personal computer to a wired or
wireless network.
•Pixel matrices and LED mapping allow for
large scale LED installations.
Conditional logic allows for time and
environment based lighting triggers,
meaning that the functionality of the system
can change automatically based on the
state of other control devices, time of
day/week/month/year, the temperature
within a room and as far to say even on
the phase of the moon at night time using
a Lunar reference during setup. Seasonal
triggers can control the state of the system
based on the time of year meaning that
true dusk and dawn times are used for
exterior and interior lighting applications.
