These loose RCDs and enclosures are ideal for installations with an existing
consumer unit that require an upgraded, additional or modified circuit that
has to comply to the latest wiring regulations; where 30mA additional
protection is required for almost every new circuit which is beyond the
levels sensed by a traditional overcurrent device such as fuses or miniature
circuit breakers installed in the existing consumer unit.
