2. The Limiting Rationalised Wind Loading Regions indicate the maximum load condition the flood pole can sustain. The Region Categories shown are defined by the guidance in Annex A of PD6547: 2004
along with the associated Rationalised Wind Load Factors (X Heavy 566 Nm-2; Heavy 466 Nm-2; Medium 429 Nm-2; and Light 396 Nm-2).
3. For the categorisation of masts, the Rationalised Wind Loading Region indicates the maximum design wind speed and limiting site altitude used for checking the design of the masts to Technical Report No. 7,
using the actual values of lantern weight and windage for the particular arrangement.
4. Where columns or masts are required in locations with a Wind Loading Region category higher than the limiting values shown.

•Can be used with Altis, Champion
or Mundial fitting and house the
remote control gear

•Columns are designed to house 2
sets of control gear within the base
•16m version when used with 3 or
4 fittings/gear sets per column
needs an additional bolt on gear
box (SAP 96227037) to house
separately supplied gear
•Bolt on gear box is supplied with
the necessary bolts to mount onto
the 16m column which is pre-
drilled to accept this
•Columns and brackets are steel
(hot dipped galvanised finish)
•Columns are manufactured from
20 sided tapering folded sheet
steel sections
•16m columns are supplied in 2
sections for on site assembly
•8 and 10m columns are supplied
in 1 section
•Brackets are supplied separately
from the column for on site assembly
•8 and 10m have flanged plates of
400 x 400mm and use 4 number
M24 bolt holes at 300 x 300mm
centres
•16m have flange plates of 450 x
450mm and use 4 number M27
bolt holes at 350 x 350mm centres
•Ground fixing bolts are supplied
as an accessory and not with the
column
•Ground templates are available
as an accessory. The templates
are used on site when casting the
concrete foundation to ensure the
correct positioning of the bolts in the
foundation such that they line up
with the column flange plate holes
