Aluminium Tubular

Columns

Stepped columns are drawn from

a single tube, with no welded

joints. Giving enhanced carrying

capacity, as well as a smoother

line to the column

• The upper shaft is constant

regardless of the top spigot

diameter

These columns are in extruded series 6000 aluminium alloy, finished to a high

standard. This finish is protected by individual wrapping on each column to

prevent transit damage. Enhanced weight/windage capacity is achieved by the

construction technique which uses a double thickness form at the lower end.

Root sections are thermoplastic coated to give protection against corrosive

elements. Cable entry below ground, has the entry lined with a plastic coating

to avoid chafing of the cable. Inside the column is a hardwood back board

with adjustable vertical position, for mounting cable termination and isolation

switches. Earth studs are included, one inside the column base, the other on the

door. The flush mounting door is secured by two locks, positioned at top and

bottom of the door. The key format makes unauthorised entry extremely difficult.

The standard finish is brushed aluminium.
