Tripping characteristics according to IEC/EN 60898, DIN VDE 0641-11
Tripping characteristic A
For limited semiconductor protection, protection of measuring
circuits with transformers. Protection of circuits with tripping in
0.4
s according to DIN VDE 0100-410 for long cable lengths.
Tripping characteristic C
Particularly advantageous in lamp and motor circuits with higher
starting currents.
Tripping characteristic B
For universal use in socket outlet and lighting circuits. Proof of
personal safety according DIN VDE 0100-410 is not required.
Tripping characteristic D
For electrical circuits with strong pulse-generating equipment,
such as transformers or solenoid valves.
