Optical performance and flexibility

Clan allows you to provide 2 lighting distributions from a single, consistent

design theme :

•Street (LED and conventional lamps)

•Area (LED and conventional lamps)

The optics have been designed around new generations of light sources

(Cosmopolis

lamps, LEDs) to ensure light is delivered where it is needed

without upward or backward spill light and using fewer lanterns.

Optimised lifetime of LED system

Performance and efficiency are the key elements to optimise energy

consumption and ensure the safety of end users. The challenge, of course, is

to maintain this over time and to reduce maintenance costs Clan LED has been

designed for a 80,000h lifetime (L70, 25°) without dimming or 50,000h

lifetime (L80, 25°C) without dimming . In a typical night time burning situation,

this can equate to over 20 years, but the ambient operating temperature has an

important effect on the life expectancy of the LED luminaire.

Gain 20% lifetime with dimming

All Clan LED lanterns are available with integrated dimming at no extra cost.

Dimming can increase the lifetime of an installation by 20%. For example

at 10°C, instead of 80,000hrs, the dimmable Clan LEDs can achieve over

100,000hrs, i.e about 25 years!
