The ‘15 ways to make energy efficient
lighting easy’ framework forms a
major pillar of our consultation advice
for customers who set out to minimise
energy consumption.
The framework is based on the
principles that implementing one
or more of the following guidelines
will help generate significant energy
savings.
These Environmental Product
Declarations (EPDs) are product-
specific environmental data sheets.
Each certificate contains product
related data from cradle to grave,
with energy consumption calculated
according to standard EN 15193.
Thorn use online tools and activities to
make it easier for our customers to find
accurate, consistant and up-to-date
product and application information
and to support the knowledge and
expertise of our sales people.
Calculates the life cycle costs
of lighting solutions, taking into
account the investment cost and
other financial aspects of an
environmentally-sound lighting
system, such as CO2 emissions,
energy consumption, maintenance
costs and waste disposal.

Our interactive, always
up-to-date online tool which gives you
advice on saving energy and applying
the right lighting controls within 50
indoor and outdoor application areas.
eControl has been traditionally
associated with electronic
dimming. Our drive towards
energy efficiency however
means we’ve now expanded
eControl to be an entire
programme for lighting control,
energy saving, optical control
and sustainability.
