The sale of non UK wiring devices
within British Standard territories
is not prohibited but, as a
responsible UK manufacturer MK
Electric has a duty to ensure that
such products are installed safely
and correctly.
As non UK products fall outside
of the standards specified within
the wiring regulations, additional
measures need to be taken
to ensure a safe and suitable
installation is completed.
BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition Amendment
3 (Part 5) provides guidance on how installers are to sign
off installation of non UK products for total compliance.
Within the catalogue, non UK products are clearly
identified in blue text at the end of the product
description as exemplified below:
