WIRING ACCESSORIES AND SINGLE PHASE DISTRIBUTION

PG00400018U – March 2012

xComfort system overview

Basic mode components

10.3

RF PIR Motion sensor

This PIR motion sensor is designed to sense movement inside a building. Power supply is provided either through

two AAA-batteries (included in the scope of delivery) or through a power supply unit (CMMZ – 00/08), not included

in the scope of delivery), therefore it is easy to fix (screw or glue) it wherever you need it. To make it easy for you

to do setting, we provide an adjustable “mounting support” (CMMZ – 00/09). Channel A (for lighting) transmits

a switching command depending on the movement that has been detected, on the brightness and on the time-

setting for the light to shut off again. Channel B (for alarm functions) transmits a switching command when

movement is detected, irrespective of brightness and time-setting for switch-off (channel B is activated for approx.

145 seconds). The setting for the number of impulses to be analysed before triggering an alarm or transmitting a

switching command can be done for both channels at the same time. All the settings can be carried out directly on

the device, with the front cover removed. A light emitting diode (LED) makes the job of setting the sensor easier.

Mounting set for the motion sensor

The mounting set for the motion sensor is used where the sensor needs to be adjusted to different directions in

order to guarantee an optimal area covered by the motion sensor (CBMA-02/01). (Two fixing screws are included).

RF binary input unit 2 x 230VAC

The binary input unit transmits input signals e.g. from window contacts, motion sensors or other signal contacts

(relays, switches, pushbutton units, etc.) to the xComfort installation system. Power supply is from the mains.

The device can be mounted in installation boxes for switches, branch-off boxes or standard installation boxes.

12-channel remote control

The 12-channel remote control sends signals to xComfort system when it is operated. This mobile device is powered

by two AAA batteries. The functions can be individually assigned, with no distinction to be made between blinds

control, dimming, switching etc. Pushing the pre-selection key (1-6) once will take you to level 1 (channels 1 to 6),

(short) pushing the pre-selection key (1-6) twice will take you to level 2 (channel 7-12). The two LEDs indicate the

level and whether the signal has actually be sent, correctly interpreted and re-confirmed. Optionally, wall-mounting

via a magnet is possible too (CMMZ-00/11 – to be ordered separately). Battery included in the scope of delivery.

2-channel remote control

The 2-channel remote control sends signals to the xComfort system when it is operated. This mobile

device is powered by a coin cell battery (CR2430). The functions can be individually assigned, with no

distinction to be made between blinds control, dimming, switching etc. A LED indicates whether the

signal has actually been sent, correctly interpreted and re-confirmed. The remote control can simply

be fixed at the key ring (included in the scope of delivery). Optionally, wall-mounting via a magnet is

possible too (CMMZ-00/11 - to be ordered separately). Battery included in the scope of delivery.
